In 2017, two engineers sat in a Bangalore co-working space staring at their phones — both in plain black cases. They'd spent months building software products but couldn't find a single phone case that actually reflected who they were. So they built one. Then another. Then a few hundred more. StayClassy was born not from a business plan, but from a genuine frustration that the best-looking phones in the world deserved better than generic covers.
